W30 Day 4

I have to admit, this go around with W30 is so much easier than the last time. At least the starting week has been a lot easier. Strange... I remember pain and suffering intestinally the first time and this time there is none of that.

I have to admit I have not given it up 100% but I did not last time either.

I have sufficient energy and like I said, not major side effects that keep me home bound all day, even though I pretty much am home bound every day!

A test will be next week. S and I are heading up for a 4 day jaunt to see R play in his playoffs... lots of eating out and we will be in wine country soooooo there might be a small slip up here and there with wine tasting. I mean, you can't be in wine tasting country and not taste wine. I'll buy, likely not drink but bring home instead and put in the cooler. We are a little tapped out anyways since xmas. :)

So need to start planning healthy good snacks and maybe make a dinner or two in the hotel at night.  Can always do a salad or go for a steak if needed.

Yesterdays food
B - 2 eggs, spinach, ham
L - Butternut squash soup
S - larabar
D - cobb salad - with balsamic vinegar dressing and just a bit of blue cheese.
S - Strawberries

Water not too bad but will need to catch up this weekend.

Steps - 9267 (better...)

W30 round 2!!!

It worked last year, I felt good on it so I'm doing it again. This time I'm dragging S along with me cause well, he's fat and unhealthy and something has to change. I'm going to be a B about it and make him do it. Hopefully he will start to see results before he quits cause I can't see it being very long before he decides to quit.

I decided to take time to read my journey from last year. I do not remember the bathroom issues but I'm prepared for it this time. I do need to do a shop and get some more fruits etc cause we are sucking in the fruit buying department right now.

Baby steps.

So today is the start and the planning. I know what needs to be done, I just need to do it. I would like a few goals of course losing weight but I really want to do it for other reasons.

1. Blood pressure. I'd love to get my bp down so it's not as high as it is now. It's too high
2. My skin... it's bad. I know it's something I'm eating so I'm changing it up
3. I'm exhausted all the time.
4. cute clothes... :)

So day 1.... here I go. I'll report back tomorrow with what I ate and any side effects etc.

Just hoping we don't have to go through the blindness bullshit again!

Starting stats

Weight 208.5 (UGH)
Bust 43.5
Hips 47.5
Waist 43.5

Still at it...

Well I'm happy to report that I am still at it. not doing as much of the whole30 as I used to and I actually want to get back into it a bit more. I am however, watching my calories and it seems to be working. I weigh in daily but I won't record and mark my changes until the 11th. That will be two months.

All good though. Maybe I'll even take some pictures.

It's hot, gotta go get some water!

7 days later....

So I technically finished the Whole30 a week ago, and I still feel good. I'm keeping my limit of grains and dairy to a minimum and I have very limited sugar and alcohol. Like one drink a week!

I feel good, but I have plateaued. I don't think it's technically an official Plateau because those are defined when you have not lost or gained for a period longer than a month, but a week seems about right to me. I am the same weight that I was a week ago. Well one lb less but I think that was just water weight.

Anyways, I have read a bunch about whole 30 and plateaus and they are actually quite common, especially after the 30 days because we start to sneak things back in. One thing that I definitely started sneaking was trail mix...by the handful. Love the stuff.

So I'm taking a break from trail mix and I'm counting again. I'm back on myfitnesspal and it's been good. I have cut back on my food a bit and hopefully by next week I will see the scale move a bit more.

And more water... how come it's such a struggle to get in a little bit of water each day. I love drinking it, I'm just too lazy to get up and pour it I guess.

I am concerned about S. He's gaining soo much weight and it's all in his belly. He doesn't seem to care. Well he does because he complains about it but then he goes right back to his beer etc.

I will try to help him. It's hard to be nagged at though.

Anyways... onward and upward.
